OCTOBER
The autumn breeze is here, and so are the bigger swells. October is a dream month for seasoned surfers. The village is quieter, the air crisp, but the sea is still warm enough for great surf sessions. It’s an ideal time to soak in Ericeira’s beauty, with fewer tourists and stunning coastal views.
NOVEMBER TO MARCH: ENQUIRIES ONLY
Between November and March, we do not publish fixed dates. Atlantic swell at this time of year can be too big to teach in safely, and we would rather tell you that in advance than cancel on the morning.
We do still teach through the winter. If conditions allow it, we will run your lesson — and winter in Ericeira means empty line-ups, quiet beaches and a coach almost to yourself. Prices are the same as the rest of the year: single sessions €60, five-day courses €340.
Tell us your dates, and we will give you an honest answer about what is likely, and confirm a day or two ahead once we have a reliable forecast.

MARCH
The season opens and Ericeira starts to stir — shops staying open later, cafés filling up, locals getting ready for the summer. Spring swell is steady and the line-ups are close to empty. You will often share the beach with fewer people than there are in your group.
APRIL
The spirit is high in this little corner of paradise. The village starts to feel longer spring days, shops are open until a bit later, and you start seeing more movement in town. It is the ideal month if you don't enjoy overcrowded beaches and restaurants but still make the most of a laid-back start to the summer.
