WHY LEARN TO SURF WITH US

FIVE SURFERS PER COACH

Not six. It is the difference between an instructor who watches you and one who coaches you, and it is the number we have never moved.

WE GET IN THE WATER WITH YOU

Every session, every coach. From the sand, you can shout encouragement. From the water, you can fix someone’s stance on the wave, while it still means something.

A BEACH CHOSEN FOR LEARNING

Praia de São Julião: sand bottom, room to spread out, and waves that forgive a bad first attempt. We hold licences for two other beaches and move when the conditions ask us to.

CERTIFIED, LICENSED, INSURED

Every coach is IPDJ-certified, federated with the Portuguese Surf Federation, and a qualified surf lifeguard and first responder. We are registered with Turismo de Portugal, RNAAT 142/2013.

WHAT OUR SURFERS SAY

99% of our surfers rate us Excellent on Tripadvisor.

I recently had an amazing time learning to surf in Ericeira, and a huge part of that was thanks to my instructor, Steve. He was absolutely fantastic – incredibly patient, clear with his instructions, and genuinely enthusiastic. Steve had a great way of breaking down the techniques, making them easy to understand even for a beginner like me.

Stephanie B

We surfed for a week and Steve was a great teacher. We had a good time. He taught us a lot and was happy and enthusiastic every day.
Steve picked us up from the hotel and was always well prepared. We will definitely recommend him if you want to learn to surf.

Linda

My surf class was an absolute highlight! From the moment I arrived, I knew I was in good hands. The teachers were not only incredibly professional and knowledgeable, but they also had a fantastic knack for making the learning process genuinely fun. What truly stood out was their ability to inspire and build confidence. They broke down the steps clearly, offered encouraging feedback, and before I knew it, I was catching waves! Small and happy waves, absolute victory.
